Protecting Watersheds by Assessing Hydrologic Sensitivity
Forest harvest and other disturbances (such as roads, wildfire, and insect or disease outbreaks) can alter how water moves through a watershed. Learn about how West Fraser conducts watershed sensitivity assessments in management areas to inform harvest planning decisions that protect key watershed values for both ecosystems and communities.
This work is supported by West Fraser through fundings from the Forest Resource Improvement Association of Alberta (FRIAA), with technical work led by MacDonald Hydrology Consultants Ltd.
