Oldman Headwaters Aquatic Monitoring Project

Healthy rivers and streams are essential to Alberta’s landscapes and ecosystems. Land use, development, recreation and climate change can place pressure on aquatic ecosystems. Learn about how West Fraser supports biomonitoring to better understand stream health in the headwaters of the Oldman River watershed.

This work is supported by West Fraser through fundings from the Forest Resource Improvement Association of Alberta (FRIAA), with fieldwork led by the Oldman Watershed Council (OWC).
