Field-testing Fungal Strains for Targeted Biocontrol of Mountain Pine Beetle
Mountain pine beetle (MPB) outbreaks across B.C. and Alberta have been a major source of environmental and economic stress. Learn about a promising field trial supported by West Fraser to test fungal strains as a biocontrol method for MPB.
This work is supported by West Fraser through fundings from the Forest Resource Improvement Association of Alberta (FRIAA), with technical work led by the UBC Forest Insect Disturbance Ecology Lab and fRI Research.
