Every spring and fall, migrating birds funnel through a narrow corridor along the eastern shore of Lesser Slave Lake. Many of these birds settle in the boreal forest to breed, sharing the same working landscape that supports Alberta’s forest industry. Learn about how West Fraser supported the Lesser Slave Lake Bird Observatory’s (LSLBO) bird monitoring programs, education and outreach, and collaborative research.
This work is supported by West Fraser, Tolko, and Vanderwell through fundings from the Forest Resource Improvement Association of Alberta (FRIAA).
